- Tender Asparagus spears about 18-20
- 1-2 cloves garlic crushed and minced
- 3 tablespoons butter and 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- Sea salt
- Fresh ground pepper
- Balsamic glaze about a tablespoonful
- Chunks of gorgonzola cheese about 2 oz
- 6-8 fresh black figs

- Heat the butter and olive oil
- Add the minced garlic and saute till golden
- Add the asparagus spears 6-7 minutes over medium heat until tender but still slightly crisp.
- Transfer asparagus spears to a plate.
- Sprinkle with sea salt to taste and grind fresh black pepper over the spears.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the asparagus.
- Sprinkle gorgonzola chunks over the spears.
- Cut the figs in half and put figs around the asparagus.
