%20and%20comfortingly%20good,%20both%20for%20you%20and%20in%20taste!%20%20One%20of%20my%20favorite%20nights%20of%20the%20week%20is%20always%20the%20one%20after%20I%20have%20had%20rice%20for%20dinner%20because%20it's%20the%20ideal%20time%20to%20make%20fried%20rice.%20%20You%20really%20want%20to%20use%20day%20old%20rice%20that%20has%20had%20the%20chance%20to%20dry%20out%20a%20bit%20so%20it%20does%20not%20stick%20together%20when%20fried.%20%20Instead%20of%20making%20the%20traditional%20pork%20fried%20rice,%20I%20used%20the%20rice%20to%20make%20a%20simple%20vegetable%20fried%20rice%20side%20dish%20and%20incorporated%20an%20Asian%20flavors%20in%20these%20slow%20cooked%20country%20ribs%20for%20an%20easy%20meal%20that%20does%20not%20taste%20at%20all%20like%20leftovers.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20skillet%20or%20wok,%20heat%20several%20tablespoons%20of%20canola%20oil%20the%20garlic%20and%20ginger%20over%20gentle%20heat%20until%20it%20sizzles.%20%20Turn%20up%20heat%20to%20medium%20high%20and%20add%20rice,%20stir%20frying%20constantly.%20%20Make%20a%20well%20in%20the%20center%20of%20the%20rice%20by%20pushing%20it%20out%20to%20the%20side%20of%20the%20pan%20and%20add%20the%20egg%20in%20the%20center%20of%20the%20well.%20%20Scramble%20the%20egg%20and%20gradually%20incorporate%20it%20into%20the%20rice.%20Combine%20soy%20sauce,%20hot%20sauce,%20rice%20vinegar%20and%20honey%20and%20add%20it%20to%20the%20pan.%20%20Stir%20fry%20to%20evenly%20distribute%20the%20sauce%20over%20the%20rice%20and%20let%20cook%20for%20a%20minute%20or%20two%20until%20well%20combined%20and%20heated%20through.%20%20Turn%20off%20heat%20and%20add%20carrots%20and%20cabbage%20(I%20add%20them%20off%20the%20heat%20so%20they%20wilt%20slightly%20but%20still%20maintain%20crunchiness)%20and%20stir%20to%20combine%20well.%20%20Serve%20immediately%20and%20garnish%20with%20green%20onions.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
