- 1 c. Applesauce
- 2 c. Shredded carrots (about 3)
- 2 c. Flour
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. Cocoa
- 2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cinnamon

- The recipes I've seen use applesauce to replace most but not all of the oil in a standard recipe. This is a flavorful and moist chocolate cake.
- Mix Large eggs, vanilla, oil, and applesauce together till well blended. Combine the dry ingredients and add in to the egg mix. Beat for another 2 min. Stir in the carrots. Pour into greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 50 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.
