- Bake cake according to directions slice and refrigerate strawberries, also sprinkle with sugar for the hour the cake is cooling.After cake is cool, slice in half using a serrated knife. Mix 1 1/2 cups Cool Whip with 1 cup strawberries, place on bottom layer of cake. Top with top layer of cake.
- Frost with remaining Cool Whip and serve individual slices topped with remaining Cool Whip and strawberries.
