- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
- Dash of grnd thyme
- 1 (13 3/4 ounce) can chicken broth/stock
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 3 c. bite-size broccoli flowerettes
- 1 c. whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon warm pepper sauce
- 1 c. (4 ounce) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. (2 ounce) shredded Havarti cheese
- 1/2 c. (2 ounce) shredded Swiss cheese

- Heat butter in 3-quart saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually add in broth and lowfat milk; cook, stirring constantly till thickened. Stir in broccoli; simmer 10 min. Remove from heat; stir in cream, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce. Add in cheeses; stir till melted. When reheating, don't boil or possibly cheeses will curdle.Serves 6.
