Been cooking professionaly for close to twenty years. Got my start at a very young age helping my grandmother in her kitchen. Back then, she ran her own catering company out of her little apartment. Never realized I was a good cook or even enjoyed cooking until I was in my mid-to-late 20's. When I realized this is what I've been searching for, I then enrolled in the Art Institute of Charlotte- Culinary. I spent almost a full year there when I realized I knew all the basics and I was paying all this money to learn how to correctly pronounce everything in french. So, I dropped-out ( I don't recrommend. Just happened to work for me) and never looked back. Again, don't drop out of school! I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time.

Never won any kind of awards (except those in school), but I was invited to participate in the Southern Home Cooking Show. Had top billing on the main stage. That was really exciting.
