I am a personal chef. After almost twenty years in various F & B jobs, I decided five years ago to start my own business. As a self taught chef, my background includes roles as: a cook, bartender, waiter, catering chef, corporate catering chef, and for a while GM of a large and busy off-premise event planning and catering company. The past five years have been spent cooking for families all over the Bay Area.
My goal as a chef is to help people eat better food. Mass produced, genetically altered and chemical laden foods have overwhelmed the American diet and it shows in our health. Obesity and heart disease are the new American health crisis. Many of my clients have severe food allergies and are forced to eat special diets.
Food should not only provide sustenance; it should connect us with the land that we live on. It should teach us about the diverse cultures that we share the land with; it should be authentic and well crafted. It should provide pleasure.
