- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) softened
- 1/4 cup fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
- 2-3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar

- Cut the butter into 6 to 8 pieces and put it in the food processor with the strawberries. Process the butter and strawberries, adding the confectioners' sugar while doing so, until the butter is smooth and even-colored.
- (To mix by hand, cream the butter and sugar, then mash the strawberries with a fork and mix them with the butter mixture.)
