%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20know%20this%20has%20got%20to%20be%20good.%20If%20it%20hadn't%20turned%20out%20so%20delicious,%20I%20wouldn't%20have%20spent%20so%20much%20time%20looking%20for%20the%20lost%20recipe.%20It's%20a%20cross%20between%20a%20quick%20bread%20and%20a%20cake.%20It's%20not%20as%20light%20as%20cake%20but%20it's%20not%20as%20dense%20as%20quick%20bread.%20The%20original%20recipe%20called%20it%20a%20pound%20cake%20but%20I%20don't%20think%20it%20belongs%20in%20that%20category%20either.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStrawberry%20Banana%20Bundt%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20350'%20F.%20Grease%20a%2012%20cup%20bundt%20pan.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECream%20the%20butter%20in%20a%20large%20bowl%20with%20your%20electric%20mixer.%20Gradually%20add%20the%20sugar,%20beating%20at%20low%20speed.%20Once%20the%20sugar%20has%20been%20fully%20incorporated,%20increase%20the%20speed%20to%20high%20and%20beat%20until%20pale%20and%20fluffy.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20the%20eggs%20one%20at%20time,%20beating%20well%20and%20scraping%20down%20the%20bowl%20after%20each%20egg.%20Once%20all%20the%20eggs%20have%20been%20added,%20continue%20beating%20until%20smooth%20and%20even%20more%20pale.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBeat%20in%20the%20strawberries%20and%20bananas.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESift%20together%20the%20flour%20and%20baking%20powder%20and%20nutmeg.%20Combine%20the%20buttermilk%20and%20vanilla.%20Turn%20the%20electric%20mixer%20down%20to%20low.%20Alternating%20between%20the%20flour%20and%20the%20buttermilk,%20add%201/3%20flour,%20then%201/3%20buttermilk%20until%20all%20the%20flour%20and%20buttermilk%20are%20fully%20incorporated.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStir%20in%20the%20lemon%20zest.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20the%20batter%20into%20the%20prepared%20bundt%20pan.%20Bake%20for%2080%20minutes%20or%20until%20a%20toothpick%20inserted,%20comes%20out%20clean.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAllow%20to%20cool%20on%20a%20rack%20for%2020%20minutes.%20Remove%20from%20pan%20and%20allow%20to%20continue%20to%20cool%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20your%20bundt%20is%20cooling,%20make%20your%20favorite%20glaze%20to%20pour%20over%20the%20top.%20I%20chose%20a%20chocolate%20glaze.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere's%20something%20extremely%20satisfying%20about%20a%20strawberry,%20banana,%20chocolate%20combo.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20want%20to%20really%20take%20this%20baby%20over%20the%20top....get%20out%20some%20frozen%20strawberries.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYes!!!%20I%20said%20frozen%20strawberries.%20There%20is%20a%20time%20and%20place%20for%20them.%20Like...now.%20When%20you%20want%20all%20those%20yummy%20juices%20to%20be%20soaked%20up%20by%20something%20sweet....pound%20cake,%20angel%20food%20cake,%20shortbread.%20This%20is%20the%20perfect%20time%20and%20place%20for%20frozen%20strawberries.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd....wait%20for%20it.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWait%20for%20it.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWAIT%20for%20IT..................%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhipped%20Cream!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20you're%20talkin'%20MY%20language!!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}

Bravo! I've had a strawberry banana cake in my head for a year, but have not come up with that over-the-top marvelous recipe yet -- until now. I especially like the chocolate glaze ... No, No! I really especially like the whipped cream ... Ah, it's a great recipe! Thank you for sharing.
