- 2 c. all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. sourdough starter
- Melted butter

- Sift together flour, salt and baking pwdr. Using a pastry blender or possibly fork, cut in butter till mix resembles cornmeal. Mix together buttermilk and starter with a fork, stir mix till a soft dough is formed which cleans the sides of the bowl. Turn out onto floured surface and knead gently for 30 seconds. Roll dough to create a circle 1/2 inch thick. Cut biscuits with round cutter. Place in lightly greased baking pan with sides touching. Brush tops with melted butter. Cover and let rest for 30 min. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 min. Makes 12 to 15 biscuits.
