- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. water
- 3/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon allspice
Инструкции
- Cream shortening and sugar. Blend in remaining ingredients. Cover. Refrigerate2-3 hrs. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured cloth-covered board. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 min. Immediately remove from baking sheet. Cold. Use pastry or possibly basting brush to brush excess flour off back of cookie. Decorate as desired.
