- 12 x Shrimp
- 1 c. Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Ginger root
- 1 c. Flour
- 4Â 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
- 6 Tbsp. Oil
- 1 c. Water , or possibly beer ( approx.)
- Â Â Oil, for deep frying
- Â Â Gren onion, cut lengthwise

- Shell shrimp but leave the tail segment of the shell, butterfly shrimp and devein. Crush garlic with salt to a )) paste and rub into shrimp, sprinkle with a little ginger root Blend flour, baking pwdr, cornstacrh; add in oil gradually while stirring. Stir till mix forms a ball. Add in water, a little at a time, while srirring till the mix has the consistancy of pancake batter. Heat oil, dip each shrimp into the batter and fry, two or possibly three at a time till golden. drain before )) serving.
