- 4 c. Cooked Beans (Adzuki Beans, Pinto
- Â Â Kidney Beans, Black Beans Anasazi Beans)
- 2 c. Water Or possibly Stock
- 2 Tbsp. Lime juice
- 2 tsp Extra virgin olive oil *Note
- 2 sm Onions finely minced
- 2 tsp Chili pwdr
- 2 tsp Sea salt Or possibly...
- 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce, Low Sodium Tamari Soy Sauce

- *NOTE: Original recipe used 4 tsp extra virgin olive oil.
- Simmer all ingredients till thick. Garnish with plain yogurt.
- TO COOK BEANS: Rinse beans. Cook 2 c. beans in 5 c. water. Bring water to a boil. Add in beans. Turn temperature to low or possibly simmer. Cover withheavy lid. Simmer 2 to 3 hrs till tender. Don't season till beans aredone.
- VARIATION: Saute/fry minced green peppers, 2 finely minced garlic cloves, 2 stalks of celery minced, till barely tender. Add in to soup and simmer.
