- 2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3-4 tbsp. cool water
- 2/3 c. shortening

- Blend flour and salt in mixing bowl. Add in shortening and cut into flour mix. Then form into ball of dough which is neither sticky nor dry. Sprinkle with water. Divide dough in half. (If time permits, chill for 30 min). Place dough between 2 sheets of waxed paper. Roll out dough from center to 1/8 inch thickness. Roll outer edge, 1 inch larger than pie pan. Remove top sheet of waxed paper. Mix in half and remove from lower sheet of paper. Then, lift gently into pie pan. (to bake a single crust, prick holes in bottom of crust and bake at 450 degrees for 10 min. Coat top of pie crust with lowfat milk so it doesn't burn.
