Pasta al Pomodoro is an Italian pasta that is simply prepared with olive oil, tomatoes and basil, unlike other dishes that are heavy on different array of ingredients this is the total opposite as this is intended to be served as a quick and light dish. The name of the dish means tomato pasta, where Pomodoro means “tomato” in Italian. It is one of the great examples of Italian cuisine, simple but great and to get that proper taste Italian rely on great quality ingredients instead of quantity. When my daughter first tasted this in Venice, this instantly became her favourite pasta and its quite hard to recreate at home due to the ingredients available but this is the nearest one I can do for her and it still tasted awesome.
