- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk, scalded
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. soft butter
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 4 1/2 to 5 c. flour
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. minced citron
- 1 teaspoon anise seed
- 2 T nuts
- Slivered almonds (optional)

- Mix all ingredients except fruit. Rise till double. Form 2 round balls. Place in cake pan. Rise till double. Pour minced fruit in center. Cover with dough. Let rise again and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 min.
