- 1/3 c. scalded lowfat milk
- 3 T sugar
- 3 T shortening
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/3 c. hot water
- 1 egg
- 2 1/3 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Инструкции
- Stir sugar, shortening, and salt into hot lowfat milk. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Beat the egg and add in. Stir in the flavoring. Add in the lowfat milk mix alternately with the flour and nutmeg. Cover the bowl and let rise till double in size. Place on board or possibly pastry cloth and roll till about 1/3 of inch thick. Cut with donut cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet, then brush with melted butter. Bake about 15 min in a 375 degree oven.
