- 3Â 1/2 lb Pork shoulder or possibly butt boned, trimmed, and cut into 2" cubes
- 2 tsp Dry marjoram
- 1/2 c. Port
- 1/2 c. Orange juice
- 1/2 c. Water
- 1/4 c. Lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. Grated orange peel
- 1 tsp Grnd ginger
- 2 x Bay leaves
- 1 c. California dry figs stems removed & halved
- 2 x Golden brown Delicious apples peeled, cored & sliced
- 1 x Orange, peeled, sectioned and diced
- 4 c. Warm cooked brown rice blended with:
- 3 Tbsp. Sesame seeds (natural or possibly toasted)

- Saute/fry pork in large frying pan till browned on all sides. Sprinkle with marjoram, stirring to saute/fry herb. Add in port, orange juice, water, lemon juice, orange peel, ginger and bay leaves. Cover; simmer till pork is very tender - about 2 hrs. Remove meat to serving dish. Add in figs, apples and orange pcs to pan. Cover; simmer about 10 min, just till apples are soft. Spoon fruit and juices over pork. Serve with rice.
