- Cream butter, add in sugar gradually. Blend in salt, vanilla, flour. Mix is stiff. Shape rounded tsp. into balls, place shaped dough in small paper candy liners. Place liners on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 min. Cold. Frost with Browned Butter Frosting (see below). Sprinkle with minced nuts. Makes approximately 5 1/2 dozen.
