- Mix all ingredients together except pecans. Cook till sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Add in pecans and cook, stirring constantly, till when tested in cold water a very hard (not hard) ball forms. If you get it too hard, add in a little lowfat milk and cook a few seconds. Remove from heat and dip by teaspoonful on an oiled piece of waxed paper.
