- 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 c. Maple syrup or possibly maple flavored syrup
- 2 x Egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 Tbsp. Gelatin Cool water
- 1 tsp Maple flavoring
- 2 x Egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 c. Whipped cream
- 1/2 c. Minced nut meats

- Heat together the lowfat milk and maple syrup. Stir 1/2 c. of this into the egg yolks and return this mix gradually to the warm syrup mix, beating constantly. Cook this mix a little, then add in the gelatin that has been softened in a little cool water. Add in the maple flavoring and refrigeratethe mix till it begins to thicken. Mix in the egg whites, then add in the shipped cream and minced nut meats. Pour the mix into a baked pie shell.
- This pie tastes like maple ice cream. If you double the recipe, it makes three 8-inch pies.
