- 1 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. granulated sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon warm water
- 1 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. quick oatmeal
- 6 ounce. chocolate chips or possibly 1/2 pound bag M&M'S®
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

- Put flour, salt and soda in sifter and set aside. Using mixer, mix shortening till soft. Add in sugar to shortening and mix till creamy. Add in Large eggs and warm water to sugar mix and mix. Add in salt, soda and flour to sugar mix and mix. Add in oatmeal and vanilla and mix. Stir in chocolate chips or possibly M&M'S® and drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
