- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups coconut
- 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

- Mix the flour with the baking powder, spices, and salt
- Beat the butter until light and fluffy
- Gradually beat in the sugar
- Mix in the egg and vanilla
- Stir in the flour mixture until well blended
- Stir in the coconut and the chips
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets
- Bake at 375 F for 10 minutes or until golden brown around the edges
