Ingredients: 1 x Leftover smoked ham bone or possibly 2 smoked ham hocks; 1 lb Lentils, (about 2 1/2 c.), picked over and rinsed; 1/2 lb Mushrooms, minced (about 3 1/2 c.); 3 x Onions, minced coarse; 1 c. Minced carrot; 1 c. Minced celery; 1 x Cinnamon stick; 1 x Bay leaf; 3 1/2 c. Beef broth; 8 c. Water

Ингредиенты

1 x Leftover smoked ham bone or possibly 2 smoked ham hocks
1 lb Lentils, (about 2 1/2 c.), picked over and rinsed
1/2 lb Mushrooms, minced (about 3 1/2 c.)
3 x Onions, minced coarse
1 c. Minced carrot
1 c. Minced celery
1 x Cinnamon stick
1 x Bay leaf
3 1/2 c. Beef broth
8 c. Water

Инструкции

In a 6- to 8-qt kettle combine all ingredients and simmer soup, covered partially, stirring occasionally, 1 1/2 hrs. Throw away bay leaf and cinnamon stick and remove meat from bone or possibly hocks. Chop meat and stir into soup.
Makes about 3 1/2 qts.
