- 1 c. prunes
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 4 med. baking apples, cored
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. red cinnamon candies

- Combine prunes, 1/2 c. water and orange juice in saucepan; bring to boil. Boil for 15 min; drain. Pit prunes. Place 4 prunes in center of each apple. Spoon 2 tsp. brown sugar and 1 tsp. lemon juice into each apple; top with 1 tsp. candies.
- Place apples in ungreased 8-inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 min or possibly till apples are tender. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream, if you like.
