%20%20I%20was%20proud%20of%20myself%20because%20the%20pasta%20they%20were%20eating%20was%20one%20I%E2%80%99ve%20never%20had%20before%20and%20was%20VERY%20tempting.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20contributed%20the%20whole%20wheat%20bread%20and%20I%20made%20my%20favorite%20chocolate%20chip%20cookies%20and%20vegan%20chocolate%20chip%20chunk%20cookies%20(from%20Eat,%20Drink%20&%20Be%20Vegan).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eso%20good.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELook%20at%20that%20chocolate%20goodness.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20these%20guys%20were%20great%20too.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENow%20I%20made%20it%20through%20dinner%20and%20we%20were%20having%20some%20dessert%20and%20coffee,%20when%20I%20decided%20to%20try%20my%20chocolate%20chip%20cookies.%20I%E2%80%99ve%20made%20these%204%20or%205%20times%20and%20have%20never%20tried%20them.%20I%20was%20explaining%20about%20the%20vegan%20cookies%20and%20all%20the%20ingredients%E2%80%A6maple%20syrup,%20applesauce,%20whole%20wheat%20flour%E2%80%A6when%20I%20realized%20I%20ate%20white%20flour%20when%20I%20had%20the%20cookie.%20I%20was%20pretty%20bummed%20because%20I%20made%20it%20through%20a%205%20course%20Italian%20dinner%20eating%20no%20white%20flour%20and%20I%20blew%20it%20on%20the%20cookie.%20Oh%20well..it%20was%20worth%20it%20and%20I%20didn%E2%80%99t%20realize%20it,%20so%20I%E2%80%99ll%20start%20over%20and%20give%20myself%20a%20pass.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGetting%20back%20to%20the%20fact%20I%20have%20to%20go%20to%20work%E2%80%A6I%20was%20making%20my%20lunch%20last%20night%20and%20threw%20a%20flax%20seed%20cracker%20in%20with%20my%20gigantic%20salad.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20are%20crunchy,%20nutty%20and%20salty%20and%20go%20perfect%20paired%20with%20a%20salad,%20dip%20or%20just%20by%20itself.%20They%20are%20also%20super%20easy%20to%20make.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFlax%20Seed%20Crackers%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20flax%20seeds%20and%20water%20in%20a%20medium%20bowl%20and%20mix.%20Let%20sit%20for%201-1/2%20hours.%20The%20mixture%20will%20thicken%20and%20look%20gell-y.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20your%20oven%20to%20300%20degrees%20F.%20Spray%20a%20cookie%20sheet%20with%20non-stick%20spray.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20in%20the%20soy%20sauce,%20garlic,%20salt%20and%20pepper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20mixture%20onto%20baking%20sheet,%20spread%20into%20a%20large%20rectangle%20%E2%80%94%20about%201/8-inch%20thick%20with%20a%20spatula.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%2040%20minutes,%20then%20check%20for%20firmness.%20If%20it%E2%80%99s%20firm,%20flip%20and%20continue%20baking%20for%20another%2040%20minutes%20or%20so.%20If%20not,%20keep%20baking.%20Crackers%20should%20be%20firm%20and%20crispy%20when%20finished.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20your%20large%20cracker%20into%20bite-sized%20squares.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThere%20are%20many%20benefits%20to%20eating%20flax%20seed.%20Flax%20seed%20fights%20high%20cholesterol,%20diabetes,%20heart%20disease%20and%20benefits%20the%20immune%20system.%20Read%20more%20about%20the%20benefits%20of%20eating%20flax%20seed%20here.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEnjoy%20the%20rest%20of%20your%20day!%20What%20is%20your%20favorite%20type%20of%20cracker%20to%20eat?%20This%20is%20one%20of%20my%20new%20favorites%20for%20sure!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecrackers,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Edessert,%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ehealth%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
