- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 c. Boiling water
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. Peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine

- For Filling: With scissors, snip stems off figs and cut figs into small pcs. Combine with remaining ingredients in saucepan. Stir constantly over medium heat till thickened. Add in more sugar to taste. Spread as suggested below, or possibly use as a filling for white layer cake.
- Fig Garden Party Cakes:Make or possibly buy individual sponge cakes, or possibly make a large sponge cake and cut it into layers. Or possibly use lady fingers. Fill the layers and spread the top with this delicious filling. Garnish with whipped cream and pass a bowl of whipped, sweetened and vanilla-flavored cream.
