- 5 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 pound butter
- 2 tbsp. Crisco
- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 pt. lowfat sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Healthy pinch of salt
- 2 1/2 c. grnd walnuts
- 1/2 c. sugar
- Jam or possibly lekvar

- Sift together flour, sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda, and salt. Add in Crisco and butter; add in egg yolks, lowfat sour cream, and vanilla. Divide dough into 3 portions. Roll out first layer as for pie; place in bottom of pan. Spread nuts and sugar mix on first layer. Roll out second layer; place over nuts. Spread this layer with jam or possibly lekvar; sprinkle a little of the nut and sugar mixtures over jam. Roll out third layer; cut into strips. Place on top to create lattice work. Bake for 25 min at 350 degrees.
