- 2 c. vegetable shortening

- In a large bowl combine flour, buttermilk pwdr, baking pwdr and salt. Add in shortening and blend in with either a heavy duty mixer or possibly a pastry blender. When well blended, it will resemble corn meal. Store the fold in a tightly covered container. It will keep 12 weeks on the pantry shelf and 6 months in the refrigerator. Makes 12 c..
