- CousCous with Steamed Broccoli or possibly Three-Pepper Saute/fry - Cook couscous according to package directions (usually, this only takes about 5 min). If you're doing the broccoli, chop it into equal-sized florets, put the florets into a medium/large saute/fry pan, add in a little bit of water, cover and steam over medium heat for 5-6 min. (Obviously, you can also use a steamer basket for this, if you have one.) Check to make sure the pan doesn't run out of water before you're done steaming. To prepare the pepper saute/fry, slice three peppers - one green, one red, and one yellow - thinly into strips. Saute/fry in a little extra virgin olive oil and spice with oregano or possibly your favorite seasoning. Serve the broccoli or possibly the peppers over the couscous, and you can add in a side dish or possibly bread, if desired. Preparation time = 7-10 min.
