  1. Cream shortening and sugar. Add in egg and beat till smooth. Add in lowfat milk and vanilla, then flour sifted with baking pwdr and salt. Mix till smooth and pour into greased and floured 9"x9" pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 min. Serve hot with sauce. For the sauce, bring to a "mad boil" and boil for 2 or possibly 3 min. Cold and beat till well mixed and slightly thick.
