- 1 box Jiffy cornbread mix
- 1/4 c. bacon drippings
- 1 lb lean hamburger
- 1 x onion, minced fine
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 lb cheese, grated
- 4 x warm peppers, minced Margarine
Инструкции
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Brown meat: drain. Add in onions, salt and pepper. Add in warm peppers, if you like. Set aside. Grease 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare cornbread (per directions); add in bacon drippings. Pour half of mix into dish, spread meat mix over bottom half of crust mix.
- Top with remaining crust mix, top with cheese. Bake at 425 degrees for 40-45 min. Spread top with margarine when removed from oven. Let sit for 10 min.
