- 1 c. Brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margaine
- 2 c. Sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 Tbsp. Shortening
- 1 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1 x Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 c. Lowfat milk

- Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; cut in butter till crumbly and well mixed. Set aside. Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt. Cream shortening in mixer bowl. Gradually beat in sugar. Add in egg an vanilla; beat well. Stir in flour mix by hand alternately with lowfat milk, starting and ending with flour mix. Pour into greased 8" square pan. Sprinkle with brown mix. Bake in 425 F oven 30 to 35 min or possibly till golden.
- Serve hot.
