Рецепт Chocolate Chip Sourdough Cookies
I tried several recipes from around the web and finally developed this one that I like. You'll probably see parts of this elsewhere, but my family claims its mine.
I usually only make half the recipe as the full one makes a bit over six dozen cookies depending upon your scoop. To do this simply halve all the ingredients EXCEPT for the sourdough. A full course there and three eggs. NOTE: I use my 5 quart Kitchen Aide bowl to make the full recipe and it is barely big enough. I usually have to mix the nuts and chips in separately by hand.
I've listed a couple of options, I am sure there are many more. Using Splenda for half the brown and white sugars does work well. Applesauce does not work well as a sub for the fats except in very small portions (1/8th or less). And you can leave the nuts out if there is a problem with allergies or walnuts.

- 4 1/2 cups flour -- all purpose
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter -- softened
- 1 cup shortening -- softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar -- packed
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup flour -- sourdough starter
- 4 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups walnuts -- chopped
- 2 packages chocolate chips -- 12 oz
- Optional (either or both can be added to the ingredients in step 1)
- 1/4 cup powered cocoa or Special Dark cocoa
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup coconut, shredded or dried

- In a large bowl, combine butter, shortening, sugars,(and optional items as desired) and mix well.
- Add eggs and beat until all are blended
- Add vanilla and sourdough starter.
- Beat in flour, soda, salt and mix well.
- Stir in walnuts and Chocolate chips.
- Drop by tablespoons On to greased cookie sheet
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
