- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 c. flour
- 6 ounce. chocolate chips
- 1 c. oats
- 1/2 c. nuts (optional)

- Cream shortening and sugars. Add in Large eggs and vanilla. Combine well. Stir in flour and baking soda. Add in oats, chips and nuts, if you like. Put in 9x13 inch greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min.
