- 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine, softened
- 3 ounce Cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 c. Sugar
- 1/4 c. Packed light brown sugar
- 1 x Egg
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 c. All-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 c. Liquid removed minced maraschino sherries
- 36 x Cherry halves

- Preheat oven to 375.
- Cream butter,cream cheese,sugar,brown sugar,egg, and vanilla in mixer bowl till light and fluffy.
- Combine flour,soda, and salt in small bowl. Add in to creamed mix,mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and minced cherries.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfulls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Top each cookie with a cherry half.
- Bake for 8 min or possibly just till set. Remove immediately to wire rack to cold.
- Yield 3 dozen
