Ингредиенты
- 4 Tbsp. cocoa pwdr
- 2 c. flour, plain
- 1/2 tsp bicarb of soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 c. sugar (caster)
- 1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 125 gm unsalted butter
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar (caster)
- 600 ml cream
- 2 pun strawberries
Инструкции
- Butter two round 25cm cake pans.
- Sift together dry ingredients - cocoa, flour, bicarb soda, salt, baking pwdr and sugar into a bowl. Rub butter in using fingertips.
- Gradually add in the lowfat milk and mix gently to create a dough. Divide dough in half. Gently press into the baking pans. Sprinkle the top of one cake with the brown sugar.
- Bake cakes for 15 min in warm oven 200C. Allow to cold 5 min before turning out.
- To Assemble:Reserve 10 strawberries and dip in melted chocolate for decoration.
- Filling:Chop remaining berries and add in extra sugar. Whip cream, set aside quantity for piping. Fill cake with cream and strawberries.
- Top with sugared cake and spoon over strawberries and juice. Pipe cream around edge of cake.
- Decorate with strawberries, grated chocolate and dust with icing sugar.
