Got this recipe from Tasteofhome.com but downsized it just a bit and changed a few things. but overall Loved it

- 2 cups elbow noodles
- 1 pkg ranch dressing mix
- 2 chicken breasts cut into small bite size pieces
- 1/3 chunk Velveeta cheese (about 3 inches)
- 2 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese divided
- 2 tsp salt divided
- 1/4 tsp black or white pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder (optional)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 cup bacon bits or 1 lb pkg cooked down and crumbled

- boil noodles to package directions (I add 1 tsp of salt to the water)
- cook chicken until it is no longer pink (I season chicken with onion &garlic powder)
- In a small sauce pan melt butter, when melted add flour whisk until all butter is absorbed; add milk let warm; add Velveeta when Velveeta is melted add 1 cup Colby jack cheese
- when all is melted to a soup like consistency add pkg of ranch dressing mix then add cooked chicken to cheese mixture add salt and pepper to taste
- when noodles are Al-dente mix with cheese and chicken then put in a 13x9 baking dish
- top with bacon bits and remaining shredded cheese
- bake at 350 degrees F for 30-45 mins until top is medium golden brown
