- Tamarind Extract – 3/4 to 1 cup
- Salt as per taste
- For the masala:
- Coriander Seeds – 1 1/4 tblsp
- Dry Red Chillies – 8 to 10, round ones
- Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
- Saunf – 1 tsp
- Black Peppercorns – 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves – few
- Gingelly Oil – 2 tblsp
