CENTERS:
2 pkt Creamy Cherry frosting mix
2 lb powdered sugar
1 stk butter melted
1 can Eagle Brand Lowfat milk
1 jar Maraschino cherries (16 ounce.) minced CHOCOLATE FOR DIPPING:
2 x bars German sweet chocolate
1 pkt chocolate chips large bag
1 lb salted peanuts grnd

Инструкции

Mix together frosting mix and powdered sugar. Add in butter, lowfat milk and cherries. Form into small balls, put on wax paper and refrigeratefor several hrs. Heat chocolate in a double boiler, add in the peanuts, mixing well and keep hot for dipping. Dip cherry balls into chocolate mix, double dipping if you like (this will require making 1 1/2 times the recipe, and we prefer using Nestle's dipping chocolate in place of the German chocolate and chocolate chips). Allow to cold completely before storing in plastic bags. Keep cold to store.
Sherry Says: Last year we couldn't find the cherry frosting mix, and I do not remember what we substituted. Seems like you cannot find the dry boxed mixes any more, and I do not really like the canned frosting. Guess I will have to work on something for this year.
