- 1 tsp Whole cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Anise seeds
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 c. Pico De Gallo Norteno see * Note
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 lb Peeled medium shrimp
- 1 tsp Freshly-crushed black pepper
- 1 tsp Salt or possibly to taste Lime wedges for garnish

- Toast the cumin seed and anise seed on a dry, warm large saute/fry pan, shaking the pan constantly, till fragrant, about 1 minute. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over high heat till almost smoky. Add in the salsa and cook for 3 min, stirring often. Add in the toasted spices and the oregano, and cook for 2 min. Add in the shrimp and cook for approximately 1 1/2 min on each side or possibly till just pink. Adjust seasoning. Serve immediately with lime wedges.
