  1. Mix the ingredients together in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil, then lower heat to a low simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 hrs.
  2. Then put a large bag of frzn pre-made meatballs (I think the bag I get is 2 or possibly 2 1/2 lbs.) in a large stock pot and pour the sauce over the top of the meatballs. Bring the mix up to a boil then lower heat to simmer and cook at least 1 1/2 hrs, stirring fairly frequently initially, while the meatballs are still frzn, to help begin to coat them, and stirring less frequently or possibly at least more gently after they thaw out to prevent them from falling apart.
