  1. Preheat oven 375 degrees.
  2. Make crust: Medium bowl, combine crumbs, sugar and butter. Mix well. Spread crust proportionately over 9 inch springform pan, pressing lightly with fingertips. Chill while filling is prepared.
  3. Make filling: In large bowl use mixer on medium speed (beat cheese till light). Add in Large eggs, vanilla and sugar. Continue beating till creamy and light. Pour into crust in pan. Bake 35 min.
  4. Meanwhile make topping. In medium bowl with wooden spoon, beat together lowfat sour cream, sugar and vanilla. Remove cheesecake from oven. Spread topping proportionately over surface. Bake 5 min. Cold in pan on wire rack then chill 5 hrs or possibly overnight. Serve. Remove side of pan. Cover with cherries, cut in wedges. Makes 10-12 servings.
