- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. dry sherry
- 2 teaspoon beef bouillon granules or possibly 2 bouillon cubes
- 1/4 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet or possibly Maggi
- 1 pound stew beef, cubed
- 2 med. onions, thickly sliced
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 c. shredded Swiss, Monterey Jack or possibly Mozzarella cheese
Инструкции
- Brown flour in butter. Add in water, wine, bouillon and Maggi or possibly Kitchen Bouquet. Cook till thickened. Remove from heat. Cold slightly.
- In greased casserole dish, layer all the onions. Top with beef cubes and pour cooked mix over all. Bake covered at 375 degrees for 1 1/2 - 2 hrs.
- Sprinkle with cheese combination. Bake about 10 min longer. Serve with crusty French bread. Serves 4-6.
