- 1/2 Tbs finely chopped peeled ginger root
- 2 Tbs ghee or unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup dark raisins or currants
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp Kashmiri chili or cayenne
