- 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon grnd cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon grnd allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd cloves

- Cream butter; gradually add in sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add in large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.Stir soda and vanilla into applesauce. Put together flour and spices; add in to creamed mix alternately with applesauce mix, mixing after each addition.
