- 2 x Red dessert apples
- 4 x Thick slices wholemeal bread
- 150 gm Cheddar, Cheshire or possibly Emmental cheese, grated (5z)
- 25 gm Butter, softened (1oz)
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 8 x Sage leaves, finely minced
Инструкции
- Preheat the grill to the highest setting.
- Cut the apples into quarters, core and slice finely.
- Toast the bread on one side under the grill.
- Butter the untoasted side of bread and arrange the apple slices on top then sprinkle with cheese and a healthy pinch of paprika.
- Grill for 2-3 min till the cheese melts and the apple cooks through.
- Sprinkle with sage before serving.
- NOTES : A quick and tasty snack.
