I'm still fairly new to blogging, but I'm confused about something. My blog posts automatically feed into this site (cookeatshare) as I post them. However, I assumed (I know; don't assume) they fed into foodbuzz as well ... not. So, do we have to manually post everything there? I don't use foodbuzz enough to really be familiar, and I'm trying to be more interactive. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Foodbuzz also has a way to set up automatic feeds, although I don't rightly remember how to do it. Otherwise, yes, you need to do it manually, although the process doesn't take very long at all. You don't input the actual recipe just the link to your blog, with whatever descriptors you feel like adding.
And in terms of being interactive, Foodbuzz also has a new feature that allows you to share your new post with all your Foodbuzz friends. A link to your post is sent to your friends' inbox.

One thing about those blog feeds. Yes, it's true that your new post can be shared with all your Foodbuzz friends. But that's kind of the problem... I've got over 500 messages in my Foodbuzz inbox in this past month, about everyone's favorite stuff they're posting. If I was to check all that out, how would I ever find time to cook?! TMI, literally ;)

Ok.. I thought I was technologically advanced... I just created an account here, but it has never asked me for my blog´s address or rss feed. How did you guys do it?

P.S. You can also send your blog feed to http://en.petitchef.com/ -without the two-year advertsiing lock-in commitment of Foodbuzz.

What is that 2 year lock in with food buzz all about? I am reluctant to sign up..... what are your feelings about the good, bad and ugly of contractual blogging?

I have beens pending more time back on Foodbuzz, and it has been improved over time. I am actually kind of liking the site a lot better. Main thing to remember is to stay up to date on your inbox. I like reading a lot of blogs. I spend 3 - 4 hours daily I spend , usually early morning and late evening. From both this site and foodbuzz I have learned a lot and gained a lot more ideas. There contract is not bad, the one thing in mine, not sure if it is standard, is about other advertisements is limited to only google ads. But I have seen other Foodbuzz Featured Publishers with other ads on their site. I recommend joining.

I use foodbuzz a lot, but I am not a featured publisher. I still get into the top 9 and some of the other features they run.

I didn't sign up cause I didn't like the two year deal, and because they only pay you for US traffic. Since I am in the UK I wouldn't be applicable for a lot of the free stuff they send members.

I am however a featured publisher on CookEatShare, which works out quite well for me, and I don't have to have any ads on my site.

My blog feeds on Foodbuzz are messed up and they stopped feeding about a year ago. I've been in contact with their customer service team several times in the past 9 months...nothing has been fixed. When I complained, I was told that I could end my contract with them without any penalties. Apparently thats how they "fix" things. I'm so upset with them.
With the Foodbuzz contract, you're not able to participate in the Pillsbury Million Dollar Bake off....Pillsbury considers you a "professional blogger" because of the money that you'd make from the Foodbuzz ad.
