I love cooking, but hate cleaning up afterwards. It always looks like a tornado hit, with cupboards and drawers wide open.
It is very difficult for me to relay recipes to my friends, I am not good with precise details such as 1/2 tsp of this or 1 cup of that, and mostly I invite them to watch me cook.
I always remember a trivet my grandmother had in her kitchen, which said:
" I'm not a fast cook, I'm not a slow cook, I'm a half fast cook." Which was true, her cooking was so bad, that often we would burst into laughter when we gazed upon whatever god awful thing she had made.
Thankfully, I'm a good cook, and grateful to my family who are appreciative always of my meals.
My family at the dinner table is the greatest blessing to me.

I'm grateful to my mother-in-law who was so very patient and kind in showing me how to cook her delicious recipes, most of which had been in her family for many, many years.
