Well........I live in the Mediterranean on a little island called Malta. We're a stone's throw from Sicily 90kms and about 180kms from the Tunisian coast. We're european but the influences from our neighbours near and far have left the 'effects' even on our taste buds.
Having been a british colony our Christmas cuisine is all about pudding, mince pies, Christmas cake but mouthwatering delicacies from our Italian neighbours are always present.
I love my wine too!
I enjoy roaming around fruit/veggie and fish markets. Will make a 'party' with a few simple ingredients. Hate waste with a passion!
Remember my first attempt in the kitchen making jam tarts with mum. I was 8. Am a very curious and inquisitive, willing to learn anything. Love simplicity in the kitchen. The most important thing is the freshness and fragrance of ingredients. Cooking with love and passion is the ultimate of your ingredients.
